Who we are

Magnus-Energy Corporation (SEC Reg. No. 2021040010245-08) is the personal information controller for this website. Our registered address is Unit 4, The Louvre Spaces, South Road, Bagacay, Dumaguete City 6200, Negros Oriental, Philippines. Our operating subsidiary, Magnus Renewable Tech Corp (SEC Reg. No. CS201961689), processes personal information on our behalf where a project is delivered by it.

What we collect and why

Term sheet requests. When you request an indicative term sheet we collect your name, contact title, email address, telephone number, organisation name and site address, together with the system capacity and current grid rate you provide. If you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and Google account identifier. We do not request or receive access to your Gmail, Drive or Calendar. We use this information to produce your term sheet, to send it to you, and to contact you about a site assessment.

Electricity bills. If you upload or paste a bill so that we can read the rate and consumption from it, the content is sent to our document-processing provider for extraction and is not used to train any model. We retain the extracted figures, not the file, unless you ask us to keep it.

General enquiries. Name, email address, organisation and the content of your message.

Website analytics. We use a privacy-first analytics service that sets no cookies and collects no personally identifying information. We do not track you across other websites.

Security logs. We record a one-way hash of the IP address that generates a term sheet, in order to enforce rate limits and detect abuse. We do not store raw IP addresses against your record.

Legal basis

We process your information on the basis of your consent, given when you tick the consent box on the term sheet or enquiry form, and on the basis of our legitimate interests in responding to a commercial enquiry you have made of us.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the service providers that operate this site on our behalf — hosting, database, file storage, email delivery and document processing — each under contract and only for those purposes. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

Term sheet records and lead details are retained for five years, which is the period over which a rooftop enquiry may reasonably convert and the period our tax and corporate records require. Generated documents are held in file storage and served through links that expire seven days after generation. Enquiry messages are retained for two years.

Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act you have the right to be informed, to object to processing, to access your information, to have it corrected, to have it erased or blocked, to data portability, to damages, and to lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.

To exercise any of these rights, email karl@magnusenergy.ph. We respond within fifteen working days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the National Privacy Commission at privacy.gov.ph.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS only. Credentials and secrets are held in the deployment environment rather than in our source code. Administrative access is limited to named Magnus officers and protected by hashed passwords and session cookies that are not readable by scripts.
